Open Access Policy
Journal of Language Education and Literacy (JLEL) is a fully open-access journal that provides immediate and unrestricted online access to its published scholarly content. JLEL supports the principle that making research freely available promotes the dissemination, accessibility, visibility, and global exchange of scholarly knowledge.
All articles published in JLEL are freely accessible immediately upon publication without subscription fees, access charges, registration requirements, or embargo periods. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, share, and reuse published articles in accordance with the terms of the journal's open-access license.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright in their published work and grant the Journal of Language Education and Literacy (JLEL) the right of first publication.
Articles published in JLEL are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
Under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, users are free to:

Third-Party Material
The CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license applies to JLEL article content except where specific material is identified as being subject to separate copyright or licensing terms.
Images, figures, tables, datasets, or other third-party materials included in an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing terms. Where third-party material is not covered by the article's CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, this must be clearly indicated in an appropriate credit line.
Authors are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for the inclusion, reproduction, adaptation, and publication of third-party copyrighted material.
Author Rights and Self-Archiving
Authors retain copyright in their published articles.
Subject to the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license and any applicable third-party rights, authors may share and disseminate their published articles through personal websites, institutional repositories, subject repositories, scholarly networks, and other appropriate channels.
Authors may deposit the published version of their article (Version of Record) immediately upon publication without an embargo period, provided that full bibliographic information and the DOI or a link to the original publication in JLEL are included.
Reuse of Published Content
Reuse of material published in JLEL must comply with the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
Commercial use is not permitted under this license unless separate permission is obtained from the relevant copyright holder.
If licensed material is remixed, transformed, or built upon, the resulting adapted material must be distributed under the same CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
